Security fix before OSG 1.0

There is a security problem that will be addressed before OSG 1.0 is released

LIGO problems with Mac OS X 10.5

LIGO has some problems with the VDT on Mac OS X 10.5, which is currently not supported. They have some workarounds, which work for now, but they would eventually like full support for Mac OS X 10.5.

Perl 5.10 and Pacman

Pacman doesn't recognize Perl 5.10 correctly, and gets it confused with Perl 5.1.
