VDT 1.10.1h was released yesterday. This contains security updates, including an update for Apache. The VDT team recently restructured the Apache configuration so that updates are now much easier.
There is an upcoming change to the VDT that will affect how Certificate Authorities are distributed. This update is currently planned for next Monday (Sept 8). This will be a required update for VDT 1.10.1 (OSG 1.0) and possibly for VDT 1.8.1 (OSG 0.8) as well.
The new certificate mechanism will require users to configure where they want to fetch their certificates from. The Open Science Grid Grid Operations Center (GOC) will start distributing CA certificates for OSG sites, and the VDT's installation will not be the recommended one for OSG sites. The VDT will still provide a convenience distribution of CA certificates that will be the set of IGTF CA certificates. (Please note that this means we will not be distributing the IGTF and TeraGrid CAs anymore, just the IGTF.) The VDT Team will provide this as a convenience, but not as a recommendation.
Detailed instructions will be included in the release notes for the update.
