VDT 1.1.10 Release
We are pleased to announce the release of VDT1.1.10
- The Chimera Virtual Data System:
- The Chimera Virtual Data System has been updated to version
1.1.1 (8/7/03).
- Chimera is now installed by default with the VDT-Client.
- A subset of Chimera (the "worker" portion) is now installed by
default with the VDT-Server.
- Glue Schema:
- Updated Glue Schema to the latest extended Glue Schema
- Added basic Glue Schema information providers
- New Software:
- Added GSI OpenSSH
- Added MonaLisa
- Added pyGlobus
- Added an optional install for the components that RSL needs, like
MySQL. (More documentation is needed on this.)
- VDT System Profiler: written by the VDT team to simplify
debugging VDT installations. It is installed in
$VDT_LOCATION/vdt/bin/vdt-system-profiler. When run, it
creates a file that has debugging information about your
system and the VDT installation. You can mail VDT support just
this file when you have problems, and it will contain most
everything we need to help debug your problems.

- Licenses for all software are not put into the licenses
subdirectory. You have to agree to the licenses while
installing the software If you would like to avoid answering
the question in the middle of the installation, you can set
the environment variable VDT_ACCEPT_LICENSES to 'y' (no
quotes), and it will be skipped. However, you are asserting
that you have agreed to the software licenses. You can find
