Note: This version of the VDT (1.3.12) is no longer supported. Feel free to look through the documentation and install it, but we cannot guarantee support for it. The current stable release is 2.0.0.
TCP wrappers provide application level host-based access control to inetd and xinetd servers. By default this policy is described in /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny. The VDT does not include TCP wrappers, we do run servers via inetd/xinetd so if you are running TCP wrappers, you'll need to do some extra configuration, which is described below.
The VDT does not run the pre-web services Gatekeeper directly but instead calls it through a wrapper script which sets up the environment. To control access to the Gatekeeper use the program name vdt-run-globus-gatekeeper.sh.
