VDT 2.0.0p17 Update
On 2010-06-09, the VDT team announced the release of VDT 2.0.0p17.
-
Xrootd changes:
- Released a new version of Xrootd containing a patch from US ATLAS that
will pick the correct oss.cache partition when multiple partitions
are specified.
- Additionally, there were many changes to the configuration of Xrootd.
The man page for the new configure_xrootd script
is available here.
-
Updated Bestman, SRM-Client-LBNL, and SRM-Tester-LBNL to 2.2.1.3.13
(VDT ticket 6842)
-
Updated MyProxy and GSIOpenSSH to version 5.1 (VDT ticket 6140)
-
Updated Apache to fix a minor security vulnerability (VDT ticket 6856)
-
Added a new keyword - 'itb' - for the vdt-ca-manage script. This
will install certificates from the new ITB certificate distribution
to be used for testing.
If you installed VDT 2.0.0 after VDT 2.0.0p17 was released on
2010-06-09, you do not need to do any of these update operations
because you will have 2.0.0p17.
Recommended method: VDT Updater
We strongly encourage users to update the VDT using the VDT updater
script:
VDT Updater Instructions
Not recommended: Pacman update
If you really want to do it the hard way,
instructions for updating by using
Pacman directly are available on another page. This method is
hard to follow and error prone.
