UW-Madison VDT Team

VDT Team

This was the team at the University of Wisconsin-Madison that makes the VDT possible. They are in charge of the day-to-day technical operations of the VDT. If you send email to VDT support, these are the folks that read it. These people create the cache, build and package the software and run nightly tests.

Miron Livny
Miron Livny Miron is the leader of the VDT team. Without him, there would be no VDT. His political and technical leadership have successfully guided the VDT since it began in the fall of 2001. Miron is well-known as the father of the Condor Project.

Alain Roy
Alain Roy For a long time, Alain was the only technical person working on the VDT, and he nearly single-handedly created the first several versions of the VDT. These days, Alain guides the technical development and doesn't get his hands as dirty as he would like.

Nate Mueller
Nate Mueller Nate brings us expertise with Perl and the VDT is quickly improving as a result.

Tim Cartwright
Tim Cartwright Tim is the newest member of the VDT team.

Alumni

Carey Kireyev
Carey Kireyev Carey started working for the VDT team in November of 2002. He quickly got up to speed and began writing a slew of scripts to install and configure the VDT. We miss his involvement since he moved on to graduate school in computer science.

Parag Mhashilkar
Parag Mhashilkar Parag worked half-time for the VDT, and half time for the NMI project. He specialized in building software for the VDT. Because some of the VDT software is built by NMI, cooperation between NMI and VDT has increased, and everyone benefits.
